Gilead is sporting a slightly different look on the nifty template provided by
. You can also learn more about Gilead's powers here: Some notes about using Gilead
Make no mistake that Gilead is powerful, but he's not invincible or all powerful. Rod showed in the intro story how easily he could be stopped.
Gilead is as strong as Vector not stronger (it's an any given day situation)
Gilead does not have offensive energy projection powers. He can control visible light, but not heat.
Gilead does not generate heat even though it possible he will learn how at some point, but as yet he can't and is also weak to cold. Freezing and below temperatures diminish his powers greatly to the point where he will stop moving. His arctic suit provides him some protection from the cold but at the cost of his powers. When employing his suit against the cold Gilead is human level.
Gilead is tough but not completely impervious. Strong piercing weapons can cut and penetrate Gilead's skin.
Gilead has no fast healing ability,(the bio says otherwise but it's hard to explain so it's easier for him to not have it for this) but he has a slow regenerative ability which will let Gilead recover from injuries humans normally can't (damaged brain cells, lost limbs etc...)
Gilead's wings are his greatest power and his greatest weakness. When Gilead manifests his wings he becomes more powerful overall, but if his wings get damaged it will diminish his powers until they heal. His wings do not heal quickly, it would take months to heal a broke wing. Once his wings are damaged they become useless, and they appear in sets in order. So if the first set is damaged then he cannot use the rest of them. His wings are basically used in emergencies only.
Gilead should be used as a hand to hand combatant that can fly. He doesn't have a big ego and will follow any sound plan.
